Got this shaver as a xmas gift. Found out in May
when I attempted to use it for the first time that
the electric motor was broken. Opened it up to find
that the AC transformer and motor are combined as
one subassembly. The motor has a spinning plastic
armature which holds a magnet. The armature plastic
is very thin and had shattered into several pieces
so the motor is unrepairable. Deni.com does
not list the Model 5700 ice shaver as a current
product.
